A worksplate, BUILT BY LONDON NORTH EASTERN RAILWAY Co 1945, DARLINGTON WORKS No 1975, from a Stanier Class 8F 2-8-0 built at Darlington to LNER order, LNER O6 Class No 3133, later 3533, and loaned to the LMS in 1947 as No 8738, becoming BR 48738. Mainly a WR based engine, it had spells at Shrewsbury and Oxley before finishing its days at Stoke from where it was withdrawn in December 1966 and sold for scrap to Drapers at Hull. Fully engraved brass, 13¼"x8", the front lightly cleaned. (Postage Band: C)
