Railway. Preserved Steam & Modern traction. A large collection of approx. 935 x 35mm, colour slides, on Agfa film stock. The collection is housed in pvc protective wallets. The slides were taken by the late Christopher John Yapp of Leeds in 1982 and appear to be whole films, as such they do include some non-railway subjects-these are not included in the count. We will be selling other slides from the collection in future auctions. Overall quality is good, however, around 20% of the slides are starting to fade. The slides feature preserved steam on heritage railways and several on the "Cumbrian Mountain Pullmans", a few preserved diesels and some modern traction and narrow gauge steam with the odd bus. Locations noted: Bluebell Railway, Settle & Carlisle line, Steamtown Carnforth, Welshpool, Vale of Rheidol, Ffestiniog, Great Central Railway, York etc. The slides come with a comprehensive caption list, all the slides are numbered to coincide with the captions. Copyright will pass to the buyer. Sample illustrated.
