An original WWI First World War British Trench Art in the form of a Kepi hat / ashtray. The hat fashioned from an 18 Pounder shell dated 1907 and indicating to have been reused in 1915.The driving band forming the strap and a small flaming grenade applied to the top and centre. The base heavily marked with War Department and other ammunition inspection marks.
