Silver plate cigarette box engraved to top 'Les Attaches Militaires Navals et de L'Air en France au Lietenant-Colonel F. O. Miksche 1945-1947. Ferdinand Otto Miksche (1904-1992) was a Czech Captain and military historian, awarded the Medal of Freedom and Order of the Colonial Empire, and the author of a number of works on European military history. Silver plate a little rubbed to dedication; box lined with wood. Approx. 17cm x 9.5cm x 4.5cm.
