A Chinese Ming blue and white ‘lotus’ hexagonal vase, Wanli period (1572-1620), painted with lotus scrolls, the shoulder with alternating panels of lotus flowers and trellis, 22cm high, hexagonal wood stand, glaze chips

cf. a very similar vase sold by Sotheby’s, Paris, Arts d’Asie sale, 16 June 2022, lot 211.

More Information

There are some glaze losses around the rim and to the corners of the hexagonal base including a splinter chip measuring 17mm x 9mm. Some minor scratching to the glaze otherwise in good condition with no restoration or cracks detected.
