Two early 19th century shipwright apprenticeship Indentures for James Wallace, Leith, the first dated 13th September 1802 confirming 6 years severed as a pump and block maker, the second ( circa 1835) for a four year apprenticeship as a shipwright, together with typed transcripts of both indentures and an oval tin box and cover stamped 'James Wallace. Block Maker', together with a later journal initialled 'J.L.W', dated from 1903, with reference to 'Uncle Jimie, aged 84 years old' (journal most probably a descendent of James Wallace).
