coopered in a tapering ovoid form, strap hinged lid with hasp and clasp, polished brass binding painted red to lowest, deck securing rings -- 32 x 24 x 18½in. (81 x 61 x 47cm.)
Harness casks were kept on deck and contained salted provisions for immediate use.
