A 24 BORE FLINTLOCK RIFLE BY EVANS OF CARMARTHEN. With a heavy 70.5cm octagonal barrel with folding rear sight, and ramrod mounted below the barrel. With Flintlock action with roller frission bearing, signed 'J. Evans' to the side plate, with decorative German silver trigger guard and mount with engraved floral decoration, fitted with a sliding patchbox, the cover carved with a wild boar being pursued by a hound. The stock with decorative cross hatched and star decoration, with conforming 'German silver' butt plate. 110cm overall *Condition: Areas of repair to timber beneath barrel and sometime refinished. Slight pitting to barrel and surfaces.
