ACCRINGTON SLAB SEALED GINGER BEER. 7ins tall. Very crude hand thrown stoneware ginger beer shape, blob, cork, lip. Crisply & well struck large cut out slab (fills over half the body), with a deep, well modelled acorn & leaves t.m. Within outer border impressed HENRY PARKER/ ACCRINGTON, TRADE MARK each side. Only the second complete example recorded. Extremely crudely made, firing flaws galore, all the characteristics we love about such early items. Better condition than the other?
