Four 19th/early 20th century beaded bags, all with metal frames: the first, with stylized oriental design, in shades of turquoise, ginger and gold, gold metal frame inset with beads, looped fringing to the bottom edge, chain strap, lined; next, a bag of similar format with shades of rose coloured beads with a centra floral design, chain strap, lined; a third bag with embossed silver metal frame, chain strap, the beadwork in ruby with a design and looped fringing in black, lined; and finally a silver metal bag, with silver chain, cut steel beads embroidered onto wool paisley shawl fabric, lined in green (4)
One loop needing attention on the first bag, but all present. Same issue on bag 2, which also lacks a few beads near the frame. Bag 3 appears in good order; the final bag has a couple of small areas of wear to the fabric.
