A Regency inlaid mahogany eight day longcase clock with moonphase by Thomas Trall of Brisol - the signed, painted arched Roman dial with subsidiary seconds dial and arched date aperture, painted fruit and cornucopia spandrels and a painted moonphase to the arch, fronting a bell strike movement with four knopped pillars, the case with boxwood strung arched hood above a fretwork mask to the glazed door, flanked by ebonised and gilt brass barleytwist columns, above a flame mahogany trunk with conforming columns and feather banding, the similarly banded base with bracket feet, 220.5cm high, lacks pendulum.

More Information

* The case has been sensitively restored and is in good, very clean condition. There are some minor well executed veneer repairs. Lacks finials from hood. The putty has been renewed to the glazing. The dial is in VG condition, with minor retouches to the edges. The seatboard appears to be original and the movement and case appear to be original to each other. The back feet are missing from the case. The clock is complete with cast iron weights but the pendulum is missing.
