A Victorian Royal Navy officers sword, the 80cm single edged fullered blade proof marked along with etched decoration of Queens Crown and Fouled Anchor. Retailed marked "Pote & Son, Naval Outfitters, Devonport", brass guard with Queens crown and anchor, folding lock plate. Wire bound shagreen grip. Has the remains of the original know still in place. Overall length 940mm. Complete with black leather scabbard with brass fittings, twin suspension rings.
Blade is good with some greying in places. No nicks to edge of blade. Some scuffing overall to the leather scabbard. Drag to scabbard is loose. Uncleaned condition.
