A small and early 19th century Chinese Qing Dynasty lacquer brisé fan, the fine decoration of vine leaves, with a small central oval cartouche showing an outdoor scene of rocks and building recto/verso, the gold lacquer showing traces of an underlayer of red, twenty inner sticks and two guards with rounded tips, previously a purchase at Phillips, London on 18th November 1997, guard length approx. 15cm
