The TR6 was intoduced in 1968, and was the best-seller of the TR range when production ended in July 1976. The bodywork closely resembled that of the previous model, the Triumph TR5, but the front and back ends were squared off. All TR6 sports cars featured in-line six-cylinder engines, and like the TR5. The Lucas mechanical fuel injection system helped the home-market TR6 produce 150 bhp at model introduction. Later, it was detuned to 125 bhp.

The TR6 featured a four-speed manual transmission with an optional overdrive unit. The TR6 also featured semi-trailing arm independent rear suspension, rack and pinion steering, 15-inch wheels and tyres, pile carpet, bucket seats, and a full complement of instrumentation. Braking was by disc brakes at the front and drum brakes at the rear. A factory steel hardtop was optional, requiring two people to fit it. The TR6 dashboard was wooden (plywood with veneer). Other factory options included a rear anti-roll bar and a limited-slip differential.

First registered in March 1970 (H Reg); this is a very well presented early UK registered Right Hand Drive TR6 sporting its original Fuel Injection system mated with a later 2.0 GT6 engine. The whole car; body work, under parts and mechanical components are in very good condition, the car starts easily and drives with the familiar TR6 surge. We have a large file of paper work and old MOT's going back to 1994, this file also contains records of the car's participation in classic rallies and owners notes. It has just been fitted with a new Stayfast mohair hood in maroon, the car also has all its supplementary weather equipment in red PVC.

With in excess of £25,000 regularly achieved for good original RHD 150 bhp TR6's this car is very competitively priced.
