£300 - £400
A late 18th/early 19th century George III period satinwood sewing box with oval neo-classical jasperware plaque; original green-silk lining and with ivory and bone fitments including bobbins and sewing clamps, lower drawer and original key
The lid appears in good order but the central roundel has suffered damage. See image. The front of the box appears OK, the sides and back also appear OK. The underside has an old green baize affixed. A small piece of veneer away from the bottom front right hand corner (see image). There is a slight crack and bow to the top right hand side together with a small split (see image). It is also noted that there is a small historic 7cm split to the left hand side of the lid. The flush drawer looks OK and the ivory requisites are in varying conditions and appear to be reasonable. One of the small bone barrel shaped requisites appear to be missing its top.
