Two Chinese carved wooden brush pots, 20th century, one in bamboo, delicately carved with with a pair of cranes, 5 5/8in. (14.3cm.) high, hole to base, the other in hardwood, carved to simulate bamboo, with bamboo stems to the foot and rim, further etched to the surface with calligraphy, 5½in. (14cm.) high. (2) - Bamboo: Hole to centre of base. Some fading and to the varnish/polish to the feet and undecorated, reverse side. A little water spotting around the carved cranes. - Hardwood: Good condition, with no damage.
