Space interest. Framed signed photographs of British astronauts titled 'The 1st Astronauts of Great Britain, 1985'. Autographed by Nigel Wood, Peter Longhurst, Richard Farrimond & Christopher Holme to the photo and also blue backboard. Presented at 'A Caribbean night out' charity event September 1985. W 55cm, H 59cm. This group of four UK astronauts were scheduled to fly to space in the Columbia space craft June 1986 to launch the Skynet 4a & 4b military satellites. They would have been the 1st UK astronauts in space, but their mission was cancelled following the Challenger disaster in January 1986.
