A fabulous heavy 19th century solid bronze Japanese figure group depicting a traditional Odon festival scene. During the Odon festival musicians play Taiko drums while donning animal masks. Two of the drums act as storage containers (possibly ink wells) with the larger having a studded lid. Fabulous piece.
