AN 1831 PATTERN FRENCH ARTILLERY SHORT SWORD AND SCABBARD. With a 48cm double edged pointed blade with central spine, stamped indistinctly, possibly Talaboy F. 1853 Paris, and 'N' in a circle, with brass handle and cross piece numbered 1301 and a further N in a circle. In a brass mounted leather scabbard stamped 1833 211. This model closely based on the Roman Gladius design. 65cm overall. *CR Generally in good condition with some marking to surfaces and slight cracking to leather.
