A long 14 bore brass barrelled flintlock holster pistol by Knubley, c 1790, 18” overall, heavy octagonal barrel 12” with beaded band at the breech, engraved “Knubley-Charing Cross - London”, and with steel floral engraved break off breech with rearsight; flat signed stepped brass lock with safety bolt, semi rainproof pan, and large roller on frizzen spring; plain walnut fullstock with shell carved apron around the breech tang, and with pale brass mounts comprising long spurred butt cap, trophy engraved trigger guard with pineapple finial, and plain ramrod pipes.
