The condition overall is good. There is a light central stretcher mark, only noticeable at a certain angle. The paint is a little thin in areas but elsewhere the painting has a dark treacle appearance and would certainly benefit from a thorough clean.
The signature is clear bottom left. The painting is on the original canvas and titled verso. The frame has been 're-gilded' and evidence of an original plaque, having been removed, can be seen on the inner frame.
