RICHARD GROVE, LONDON, A GOOD GEORGE III MAHOGANY CASED BRACKET CLOCK. The twin fusee movement with verge escapement and bob pendulum, striking and pull repeating the hour on a steel bell, with finely engraved back-plate. The arched brass dial with silvered chapter ring, date aperture and strike/silent dial, with gilded rocaille-work spandrels. The case with bell top and brass carrying handle, with four probably replaced gilded pine-cone finials, supported on brass feet. Acquired by our late vendor from GERALD E MARSH, Antique Clocks Winchester, Hampshire in 1993, 20 ½" (52cm) high (over handle)
