(Border Fine Arts was founded in 1974 by John Hammond in an eighteenth-century farmhouse, Middleholm near Langholm. Carefully researched, highly detailed, realistic, and accurately painted wildlife figurines and countryside scenes were created, for which demand grew from a very receptive market place.
The workforce grew to keep pace with the orders that were placed and new premises were found in the town. Border Fine Arts has now become a household name and leader in the manufacture of superb, lifelike figurines.
