A worksplate, LMS BUILT 1943 GWR, from a LMS Stanier Class 8F 2-8-0 No 8405 built to Railway Executive Committee order by the GWR at Swindon and loaned to the GWR and later the LMS before being taken into LMS stock and becoming BR 48405. It spent most of its BR days at Mansfield and Kirkby in Ashfield from where it was withdrawn in July 1966 and sold for scrap to Cashmores at Great Bridge. Cast brass, 10½"x6", the front repainted.
