A LATE 17th CENTURY 10" LONGCASE CLOCK MOVEMENT in later replica case. The brass dial having gilt winged cherub head spandrels and skeletonized silvered Roman chapter ring surrounding a matted centre with subsidiary seconds dial and calendar aperture fronting an eight-day weight-driven five-pillar movement with steel barrels, pinwheel escapement and outside countwheel striking the hours on a bell - fitted in a later walnut and oyster veneered case with rising hood 200cm high
