AN EARLY 20TH CENTURY OPAL AND DIAMOND RING, set with graduating oval opal cabochons, measuring from approximately 8.4mm x 5.6mm to 7.1mm x 5.3mm, six old European cut diamonds, four diamonds measuring from approximately 2.5 to 2.7mm diameter, two diamonds measuring approximately 2.1mm diameter, interspaced by seven rose-cut diamond accents (one diamond deficient), to the open work scrolling gallery shoulders and plain polished band, estimated total diamond weight of the six old European cut diamonds 0.35ct, assessed colour H-I, assessed clarity VS-I1, ring size N 1/2, ring stamped 18ct, approximate gross weight 5.17 grams (condition report: overall very good, opals display good play of colour throughout, outer opals lightly abraded, in keeping with age, diamonds bright and lively, one of the small diamond points is missing, one old cut diamond with minor chip, in keeping with age)
