A scarce Russian 12 bore M1809 flintlock cavalry pistol, 17” overall, barrel 10½” with brass fore sight, the breech with indistinct arsenal marks; the lock marked “Sestrorezk” and dated “1813”; fullstocked with regulation brass mounts, the escutcheon engraved with the cypher of Alexander I (1801-25), and with 5½” belt hook. WO & basically GC (long piece missing from left side of fore end, muzzle band and mainspring replaced, butt cap finial missing) Plate 15
