A Chamberlians Worcester 'King of Hanover Service' plate, the circular cartouche painted with Sophia, Goddess of Wisdom, cobalt blue border with gilt sprigs and festoons, titled to verso, paper label to verso, 16.5cm diameter, c.1820.
The service was reputedly presented by King George IV to his fifth son, the King of Hanover.
Generally good, surface crazing throughout
