A scarce 24 bore Hudson's Bay Company flintlock Indian trade musket, 43½" overall, three stage barrel 27", the octagonal breech having 24 bore London proofs and illegible maker's mark, the lock with double line border and ring neck cock, the plate stamped with poincon of a seated fox over initials "E.B" and "Parker Field & Co, London, 1874", fullstocked with carved panels around the breech tang and tail of the lock and sideplate, mounts include iron trigger guard and brass butt plate, long dragon side plate and baluster ramrod pipe, with pewter tipped wooden ramrod. GC (action fails to hold on full cock, slightly shortened during its working life). £800-900
