Definitive and commemorative stamps, cinderellas, vignettes and labels, some postally used and some imperforate with paper varieties. Various postcards, business letters, trade cards, invoices on promotional paper, official invitations/correspondence and wide range of exposition/exhibition/fair coverage including agriculture, air, auto, cycle, philatelic, art and engraving. Whole sheets of stamps, cinderellas, commemoratives including 5 & 10c Brussels Exhibition 1897 (SG 96 & 98) with varieties noted, mint 1910 charity set (SG 109-116) and cover of scarce mint 1935 International Philatelic Exhibition mini-sheet, (SG MS 657) cat. £600. Various exhibition covers/postcards and promotional postmarks, postage dues and proofs seen.
From the collection of Tom Pring, a highly respected member of the Belgian Study Circle and the author of two works on Belgian issues, ‘Fine Barbe Varieties’ (2009) and ‘1893 Armoires du Royaume’ (2015). Pring was half-way through a work on the Ostend-Dover Route, which he was sadly unable to complete.
