A British Home Front MkII WWII steel helmet painted black and labelled in white HR for Heavy Rescue. Helmet stamped JSS 1939, liner stamped JCS&W 1938 or 9, with early oval pad. Complete with chinstrap. Early Blitz period prior to Light Rescue and Heavy Rescue being amalgamated in 1941. Rim joined at side. Being sold as part of a private collection.
