A worksplate, ENGLISH ELECTRIC/ROBERT STEPHENSON & HAWTHORNS, 3366/8409, 1963, from a BR Class 37 No D6888 built in January 1964 and allocated new to Landore. Renumbered 37188 in April 1974, it was named JIMMY SHAND after the renowned Scottish band leader from May 1985 until May 1989. Withdrawn from Bescot in January 2000, it was acquired for preservation by the 37188 Group in August 2003 and stored at Peak Rail and later Barrow Hill but eventually cut up by UKRL at Leicester in July 2019. Chromed cast brass, 10¼"x4½", ex loco condition. (Postage Band: B)
