A CHINESE GREEN GROUND BRINJAL PORCELAIN BOWL WITH GREEN GLAZED DISH, 18TH CENTURY. The bowl with incised floral decoration coloured in yellow and brown enamels with underglaze blue mark to base, Kangxi period (1662-1722). Together with a small circular dish covered in a green glaze. Bowl 11cm diam. (2)
The bowl with two vertical hairlines at the rim measuring approx. 4-5cm. The bowl with small chip to rim and foot. Provenance: Property of Dennis Young, son to Sir Mark Aitchison Young GCMG (1886-1974) who served as Governor of Hong Kong between 1941 and 1947, thence by descent.
