Silver metal clad Middle Eastern jambiya type dagger with scabbard and smaller knife on original belt, blade length 17cm, dagger length 29cm.
Provenance: from the estate of William Fraser of Strathpeffer. William served in WW1 and subsequently signed up in the Colonial Civil Service in the 1920s and spent his time in South Africa, north into Kenya and finally in Zanzibar and the island of Pemba to the north of Zanzibar. While there in 1937 he was President of the Caledonian Society of Zanzibar.
