Early 20th century Sikh ceremonial KIRPAN knife/dagger. Curved 20 cm (8”) steel blade etched with “Pure Steel”, “Victory” and foliate decoration. Hilt inlaid with mother of pearl and with brass ferrule, pommel and chain which is attached to brass quillon. Overall 30cm (12”). In leather scabbard having incised, cross-hatched decoration, brass chape and throat.
