A CHINESE CLOISONNE MOON FLASK

Qing, decorated with peonies against a blue ground, with bronze handles to the shoulders in the form of qilin, 55.5cm high x 40cm wide

Provenance: Thomas Child (1841 – 1898) was a pioneering photographer who produced a large body of photographs during his time in Beijing during the 1870's. He was close to the Emperor and the court. The family believe a number of objects were gifts from the Imperial family.
