HENRY III PERIOD - ATTRACTIVE SMALL VELLUM DEED REF. PROPERTY IN DERBYSHIRE; Very fine c.1250 AD beautifully written album-page size 13th century vellum deed (20 x 11cm excluding seal straps; in Latin with almost complete transcript) regarding the sale of some land "in villa et campo de Tykenhall" (in Ticknall near Melbourne, south Derbyshire) with the original vellum 'straps' at foot where two wax seals had originally been applied. Five witnesses are named at the end of the text including "Engelarde de Curzun" who is known to have lived from 1225 to 1278, hence the probable 1250 AD date.
