Super Star Lot: An incredible, very heavy antique gilt bronze French mantel clock featuring an elaborate gilded case with neo classical and baroque influences. Circa. 1880. The clock face is marked "J Ruffier" and the movement is stamped "Vassy Jeure Paris". The clock stands on a beautifully ornate, sculptural base with lion and mythical motifs. Four female figures flank the central structure, the top is crowned with a decorative urn, and the dial is white enamel with Roman numerals.
