A Portrait of Field Marshall Herbert Charles Onslow Plumer, 1st Viscount Plumer, oil on canvas, signed indistinctly lower left,
89 x 74cm.
N.B. Field Marshall H.C.O. Plumer was commissioned into the 65th Regiment of Foot (later 1st Battalion the York and Lancaster Regiment 1876. He fought in the Sudan and Southern Rhodesia amongst others, In 1919 he became Governor of Malta and later to Palestine as Commissioner of the British Mandate.
