A FIRST WORLD WAR TRIO TO THE SUFFOLK REGIMENT. A Great War Trio comprising 1914 Star with clasp named to 6322 Pte A. Elvin 2/Suff R. War Medal and Victory Medal similarly named. Albert Elvin entered the war on the 15th August 1914, his Medal Index Card confirms the award of the 1914 Star. He was reported 'Missing' on the 9th September 1914 and later confirmed as a Prisoner of War at Doeberitz camp outside Berlin having been captured on the 26th August 1914.
