£240
A Japanese ivory okimono of a farmer, Meiji period, the figure modelled standing holding a large rake, wearing a fur outer garment, with tools, tobako-Ire, kiseru and bento attached to his belt, a sack with chicks and a chicken at his feet, signed, 13cm
One tip of the rake chipped off and missing, the big toe and long toe have been broken off and glued back on. Otherwise a good, well detailed figure with no further obvious losses.
