Tennyson (Alfred Lord, 1809-1892). An original manuscript letter, signed by Alfred Lord Tennyson, dated 9th September 1869, letter apologises for the delay in replying and thanking the recipient for the autograph of Toussaint L'Ouverture who was a Haitian general and was appointed Governor-General for Life, 11cm x 17.5cm approx., letter tipped-in onto card for display purposes. Tennyson was a poet laureate.
