German mid C1850 officers private purchase percussion holster/target pistol by Augustus Brecht 1800-1882. 10.5" octagonal Damascus steel barrel, gold banded to muzzle and gold breech inlay (16.5" overall length). Smooth bore .58 calibre, barrel top flat stamped A. Brecht vorm A. Burckhardt in Weimar. Fluted walnut butt stock. Single barrel key. Engraved lock plate and hammer and spurred trigger guard. Quality and fine condition throughout (though might require minor adjustment to the action) with set trigger.
