A Very rare 19th century tribal New Zealand M?ori tokotoko (orators walking stick) the finely carved shaft with grotesque faces inset abalone eyes. 92 cm long. Provenance: Private Leicestershire collection and by family decent. Note: A tokotoko is a traditional M?ori carved ceremonial walking stick. On a marae it is a symbol of authority and status for the speaker holding it.
