R.M.S. LUSITANIA: Rare postcard dated May 5th 1915 to a Miss Powell. The card mentions George Marks and shows he and another man. It reads that his wife 'Is on the water now on the Lusitania, we feel a bit anxious as it was reported in the papers the Germans are going to sink her.' Elizabeth Marks was travelling as a Third-Class passenger with her daughter Georgina, sadly both drowned in the sinking.
