A FINE MID 19TH CENTURY ENGLISH BRASS GREAT-WHEEL SKELETON CLOCK WITH PASSING STRIKE the 4¾" silvered dial with Roman numerals and skeletonised centre fronting two pierced scroll frames united by seven turned pillars pinned to the rear and screwed to the front with turned collets enclosing a going barrel movement with 5" six-spoke great wheel and deadbeat escapement set on a signed brass plinth raised on ball feet and further set on the original mahogany base under a glass dome; passing strike on a gong mounted in the base, original heavy brass bob pendulum.
