A late 19th to early 20th Century faience maiolica vase in the manner of Urbino decorated in the Renaissance style in blue and yellow with a portrait of a lady with 'Ormeda' in a banner to her side, unmarked, height 30cm, S/D.

More Information

The base shows damage with two breaks to the edge of the foot rim which have been poorly re-glued back in place, please see the images. There is also a firing crack running round the base which can be seen to the interior also.
The body of the vase is good with only some small firing flaws to the glaze
The upper rim has a couple of small glaze frits and some glaze slips in the firing.
