18th century Champion's Bristol cabinet coffee can and saucer of cylindrical shape, the ear-shaped handle moulded with husks painted in neo-classical style with bands of green husks and trailing foliage, and a band of interlocking gilt circles, both pieces with blue cross marks, and numeral 1, Label for Alfred Trapnell Collection. NB. An almost identical can and saucer were sold at Bonhams, the Twinight Collection, 29 September 2021, lot 16. 7cm high
