In late 1967, sufficient changes were introduced for the factory to define a MGB Mark II model. Changes included synchromesh on all 4 gears with revised ratios, an optional Borg-Warner automatic gearbox, a new rear axle and an alternator in place of the dynamo with a change to a negative earth system. To accommodate the new gearboxes there were significant changes to the sheet metal in the floorpan, and a new flat-topped transmission tunnel. All models are rear-wheel drive. Rubery Owen Rostyle wheels were introduced to replace the previous pressed steel versions in 1969 and reclining seats were standardized in 1970. 1971 also saw a new front grille, recessed, in black aluminium. The more traditional-looking polished grille returned in 1972 with a black "honeycomb" insert. 1970 saw split rear bumpers with the number-plate in between, 1971 returned to the earlier five-piece style.

There is a wealth of history, including a Heritage Certificate, showing that this MGB Roadster has benefitted from a substantial restoration and refurbishment since 2008. It has been driven over the summer and has recently completed a round trip to Nottinghamshire and back (approx. 250 miles) with no mechanical issues other than a broken speedo cable approx. 350 miles ago. The recent journey revealed the overdrive is fully functional engaging and disengaging smoothly as and when required on 3rd and 4th.

As can be seen from the pictures the hood is virtually new with no rips or tears, although it has rarely been up as the car has not been driven in the wet and has been garaged when not in use. The boot is carpeted and the car is supplied with a half Tonneau cover.
