A 19th century mahogany 8-day striking long case clock by John Rees of Madroilyn, the hood with broken pediment and brass ball finial, above a plain frieze flanked by octagonal pilasters, the hand-painted dial with subsidiary second dial and date aperture, enclosed by foliate spandrels below a painted panel depicting a bucolic scene of a windmill, the trunk with inset roundels and octagonal pilasters, above a stepped plinth base on ogee supports. Dial measures 13”. Total height 8’ (244cm).

Condition report: No issues. Includes both weights, brass bound pendulum, case key and winding key. The clock has been restored to a high standard, ready to go straight in the home.
